I turned 18 last week which was rather exciting, more exciting was that my dad and stepmum had a surprise lined up. I’m usually quite impatient when it comes to surprises but this one was definitely worth the wait.
The surprise, as you can see from the title was giraffe feeding. Giraffes are my favourite animals ever, they’re just so beautiful and majestic, last year I went to the zoo for my birthday and this year was one better. We went to Chessington World of Adventure for the day beforehand and then waited till the park was closed and headed to the zoo. I honestly had the best time feeding them.
There were five giraffes in total, two stubborn ones who missed all the food. It was quite a small group of us feeding them, which was nice as it meant there wasn’t too much competition for their attention. I did manage to take a selfie with a giraffe I was feeding but it wasn’t the best so I thought I’d keep that to myself.
I know this is a short post, and I think that’s because I can’t quite put into words how amazing the experience was. But if you do ever get the chance, you will not regret it. It’s also not as expensive as you’d imagine.
