I received and email mid August which sent me back in time, back to starting secondary school. After PE, basically every girl in Year 7 would pull out one of these sprays and the changing room would become a cloud of mixing smells. The email I mentioned, before I found myself down memory lane, asked if I would like to try a few of their reformulated and repackaged scents. As I used to love the scents so much I could hardly say no could I?
I really like the new packaging, if I’m honest. The rounded bottles for the sprays make them very easy to grab from in your bag. Also the patterned stickers on the back of the bottles are quite clever, they give the illusion that the bottles themselves have such patterns which definitely makes them appear more expensive. The Eau de Parfum is packaged a lot more expensively than the bottles, the bottle itself is glass while its lid is pink plastic.
The two body sprays I have are Musk and Floriental. Musk isn’t my favourite, it is the one that reminds me most of my childhood though. It has notes of bergamot, sandalwood and powdery musk, it calls itself a sophisticated fragrance, I think I’m not a fan simply because I like a more fruity scent. Floriental spray is much more my kind of scent. It is very fruity, notes of mandarin and apple (apple is a favourite of mine,) and also freesia and violet. This is definitely the one I will be taking with me.
The final two share the same scent: I am So…? The plastic bottle is the fragrance mist and glass bottle the Eau de Parfum. It’s another fruity fragrance, this time with notes of mandarin and orange blossom, it also says these notes are complimented by cashmere wood (?) – it does smell nice but I wouldn’t have been able to get all those notes just by smelling it. The Eau de Parfum is definitely slightly stronger than the body spray, so is good if you’re going out and want to smell good for hours.
All of them are reasonably priced, the mists retail for £3.99, but I’ve often seen them on offer while the Eau de Parfum is £6.99. The So…? range is available in Boots and Superdrug, but I’m pretty sure I’ve also seen the mists in my local Sainsbury’s, so it’s definitely worth a look if you like the sound of these!
