A few months ago I was lucky enough to win a competition to be a part of Superdrug’s Teen Panel. Since then I have received a box each month filled with a few of their bits to try out and then report back to them what I thought. The last couple of boxes I received had starting getting Christmassy, so I thought I would collate my favourite bits into a stocking stuffer gift guide, especially as they’re all under £10!
Just thought I’d mention that I received these boxes as a winner of a competition not in PR, and there was no agreement to say I had to write about any of these bits. I came up with this idea all on my own because I thought it would make a great blog post!
First up are some makeup goodies from the Superdrug Studio collection. I wasn’t sure at first whether I would like these bits but so far they’ve impressed the hell out of me. First, the duo brush set is only £6, on sale for £2, which is definitely stocking stuffer price range. The set includes two double ended brushes, one is a sponge applicator – which most people hate – however they are really good for packing on pigmented shadows and swatching if you’re a beauty blogger. There is also a brow brush which is perfect as brows are bang on trend. Studio also do their own version of the infamous silicone sponges £6, now £3. Now I have no desire to try this myself, I am very happy with my BeautyBlender and RT Brushes, but I know many people are so intrigued by these. Then there is the Trio of Red Nail Polishes £6, now £3. I am in love with that sparkly shade, if I can build it up well enough it will be my New Year’s polish for sure – it’s just so glitzy. Finally from Studio, and the product I was blown away by are the Strobing Crayons, £6, now £2. You can currently get there for £2 and that, frankly is amazing. There is a white shimmer, champagne shimmer and a pink shimmer all of which blend really nicely to leave a glow on your skin. The formula is creamy and wonderful for the price. I really want to try them as eyeshadow sticks too, fingers crossed they work.
The second collection is called Flutter, it’s all very pretty and pink. There’s a lovely post it note set, was £8 now £2, which is perfect for jotting down those New Year’s resolutions. And to write those is a quartet of pens, £8 now £4. They all have cute, yet slightly random prints on them, which is even better in my books. They also do some Bath Flowers, £6 now £5. These are super cute and you can use them in the bath and shower, if you add them to your bath they’ll dissolve and if you use them in the shower they’ll work as soap! I’ve had some bath flowers before and they’re a novelty but you can’t complain for the price. Last but not least is this Manicure Set, was £8 now £4. It has the cutest print of kittens with wings the whole way round, and inside there are mini scissors, nail file, nail clippers and cuticle pusher. That’s a really good set in my eyes. I’m gifting it to my mum, (who doesn’t read my blog,) as she likes to take care of her nails and absolutely loves kittens.
There are also three other products not in these categories which are the chocolate coins, (75p and super tasty by the way!) An adorable Sweet Snuggles hand warmer, £4 now £2, these are amazing in Winter to keep you warm when you have to walk out in the cold. And finally a Zoella Bath Latte, you can’t get this exact one at the moment, but everyone love something from Zoella, (as long as it’s not the advent calendar…)
I hope these Stocking Stuffers help you in your quest to finish the Christmas shopping, I think I’ve finished all of mine now! If you want to win yourself a Christmas present – check out my Magnitone giveaway – and enjoy the rest of your day!
