Buying a full size perfume is a real gamble unless you know the exact scent a person likes. Just because their go to has floral undertones doesn’t necessarily mean another with floral undertones will be just as well received. This is why mini perfume sets are a great gift idea if you want to give a luxury gift without getting it completely wrong. This year’s mini Armani perfume set is possibly my favourite I’ve seen in a while, which is why I asked for it for Christmas and luckily for me, and the blog, I got my hands on it early too!
I’ve been wishing for Si since the beginning of summer, but perfume is just so expensive I couldn’t quite justify it. Then along came this set and I knew it had to be mine. We have to discuss the packaging first, it’s beautiful, the red and gold box is of a really nice quality. Even better is the fact that the mini’s are copies of their larger counterparts, no silly size perfume vials here – the only downside I can see to these is that they aren’t sprays, so you have to be careful when using them.
The set comes with four different perfumes, I’m awful with describing scents but I’ll give you the notes instead. The classic is Si, it is meant to smell fresh, green with freesia and rose de mai and finally oakmoss and patchouli. I think it’s a great day to night scent, it’s not the lightest scent but gorgeous nonetheless. Si Passione has fruitier notes than Si with an added hint of vanilla as well.
The other two were not perfumes I was familiar with. Because It’s You is much fruitier than the others with raspberry, neroli, rose absolute, vanilla and musk. It’s gorgeous and one I’d never have found without this set. The final perfume is Armani Code, one that’s been around for a while. This is probably my least favourite, but it’s still lovely. Notes of orange blossom, Madagascar vanilla, honey and Sambac jasmine.
I knew I’d like both the variations of Si, but the other two may not have been such winners, though I’m happy to report I was pleasantly surprised, and they’re nice change from Black Opium! The perfumes are all decent sizes too, all 7ml apart from Armani code which is 3ml, they will last for a long time too. This is one of the best gifts to give in my opinion, in fact I convinced one of my aunts to buy both her daughters a set! It’s luxurious without the ridiculous price tag that a full size perfume has.
You can buy the Mini Armani Perfume Set from Debenhams for £30.
