Hit Reset with this Estee Lauder Companies Giftset

We all know I love a gift set, that’s certainly not new around here. I posted about the Stars of Clinique set back in February and we’re back again with another today. If you weren’t aware Estee Lauder owns many of the beauty brands we use daily and so every now and release a set of all their different brands. It’s the best type of set for someone like me who loves to try discover new products without committing, so when I didn’t have a valentine this year, and managed to pass first semester, I decided to treat myself.

Sadly, the set is no longer in stock, but at the time it was £25 for £68 worth of value – it’s always good to get a deal. Usually I fall in love with products, but when it came to this set the bag really caught my eye. It’s super cute, really spacious and is now always there to remind me I’m meant to be eating healthy and going to the gym more. Another factor that meant it had to be mine, was that all, bar one, of the products are new to me, which is rare in sets like this. For example, in conventional beauty boxes I’ve usually tried quite a few of the samples as the sames one appear so frequently, but not here. Lots of new goodness for me to try.

If you’re a regular visitor around here you will already know my love for Glamglow, Clinique and MAC, so having each of these featured was perfect. The Glamglow Supercleanse is in the same family as my beloved SuperMud clearing treatment, perfect for those of use with blemish prone skin. It’s a cream to foam cleanser, so arguably not the best for dry skin like mine, but it uses charcoal to remove impurities which I always need help with. From Clinique was a mini sample of the Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate. Now I absolutely adore the regular Moisture Surge, and I’m pretty sure I will love this new addition. I used this for the first time the other day and it feels like you’re applying water onto your face it’s amazing. The MAC product in the set is the full size and I’m very happy with the choice, a Lip Scrubtious lip scrub in Candied Nectar. It smells incredibly fake which is why I love it, it also has a balmy texture so it doesn’t feel too dry after use.

Two non makeup and skincare bits are from Aveda and Bumble and Bumble. The Aveda offering is a beautifully scented hand and body wash, Rosemary Mint, I think it’s something that my stepmum would love and I’m considering getting a full size for her birthday. I’m saving the mini, which has 50ml of product, for a summer holiday. Fingers crossed. Bumble and Bumble are a brand I really haven’t been able to try many products from, as they are quite an expensive brand. This dry shampoo is perfect as I just ran out, it also smells absolutely incredible – I might have to convince myself to splurge on the full size, even if the full size is an eye watering £24.

The last few bits really vary in product type; there is a teeny tiny (5ml) Origins Ultra-Hydrating Envergy-Boosting Cream. It smells citrusy, and isn’t greasy but due to the inclusion of the Clinique, and it’s mini size, is probably a little unnecessary. The Smashbox Primer Water has been on my radar for a while, but I love the Glamglow Glowsetter and MAC Fix Plus so haven’t rushed out to get it yet. Personally, I’m not a fan of this as a primer as it makes my face feel tight, but it is useful to stop my makeup looking cakey.

I love Bobbi Brown skincare and makeup so the mini Soothing Cleansing Oil is something I really like the sound of. It has a gentle scent and will hopefully be able to remove waterproof mascara when I’m on holiday. Last, but not least, is the Estee Lauder Little Black Primer. I have a whole draw full of mascara minis, but I will admit I do like a lash primer – call me extra but they really do make a difference. I’m interested to see how this compares to the Benefit and Pixi ones too.

I think they smashed this set out of the park, with the exception of the Origins sample which is too small really. Getting something full sized, especially when it’s something all skin types can use is even better. These are the types of sets I always recommend, I’d make sure to look in my ‘gifting‘ category for more like this, no one can be upset with a box/bag of goodies to try. Keep an eye out on the Estee Lauder website, and all the brands featured for the next one, or alternatively keep checking back here… we know I’ll have to buy it!
